Where can I buy a set of the hard luggage bags for a XB12R? Are they even available? I have a trip I'm planning on taking and I don't want to have to wear a backpack the whole way there and back.
I didn't know there was a hard luggage option for an R.
Check out bags-connection and Oxford sports. I've used these soft luggage options with great results.
I used bags-connections largest bag system on a zx14 for a 10,000 mile trip and the Oxford luggage on several thousand mile trips on a VFR & RC51.
If hard bags are not an option, these soft options will surely serve you well.

The bags-connection bag was the easiest to mount and would be my top recommendation (Last pic).
you can buy just about any hard bags you want, you just gotta make it work. for starters, look at a ventura luggage rack. them make them for the buells and it allows you to get much more luggage, different sizes and with a better fit.
