Im wondering if theres not part of a 1125 bike floating around there that we missed. Theres a NEW 1125 motor in the packing, was going to be blue printed for their race program, there must have been more bikes, theres 4 1125 swingarms, and some drive belts, some 1125 body work, wire harnesses, forks, and other odds and ends, but im wondering what happened to the rest of the stuff. I will ask, this dealer owns multiple buildings and has race stuff stashed around the US as well,, When he gets back into town, will be interesting to find out what else is there and more details.
Theres 2 XB bikes, they are going to keep one of them,, its been seriously modded and been around as a race mule and test bike for a long time, Seriously reworked by some of the best in the performance world. Im told They are going to reconfigure it from Road race bike to a Salt flats bike. so thats off the table They didnt even like me taking pictures of it and the pile sitting there on that pallet. (Wasnt much to look at in its present state IMHO)
The other bike could be really interesting. Im anxious to hear from Mike, the race team head guy what he did to it, It was bought from/for salvage as a lightly wrecked XB9, (picture coming soon) it was stripped down and the motor gone thru by the Race team head guy (He mostly builds top fuel Harley dragsters and road race bikes) It has a big bore kit of some kind, (size isnt known until he returns) and the heads and intakes were redone by Baisley performance who are very well known. Its got some sort of special cams and alternative cam timing set up, Theres a super trick race pipe for it as well, felt super light, might be just thin wall stainless but Kenny thought it was titanium, The bike was being configured and built for some race class with HP limits and class restrictions. Wont know the rest until middle of April,. But theres a full set of race bike body work up on the shelf and enough parts to make a whole bike out of it, wouldnt need much. Told there is NO TITLE, might be able to get one with a bill of sale from the dealership, or swap frames with a titled frame elsewhere. Or just run it as a track bike,.
more soon when i get time to post pix, but i gotta work in the early AM so off for now...
