I had the same problem. open the switch and clean the contacts with fine sandpaper
Try a jumper wire across those 2 that connect at the switch. If it lights up the brake light, the switch is bad. If not, broken wire somewhere in the harness.

I actually just did this myself and it couldn't be any easier.I had the same problem. open the switch and clean the contacts with fine sandpaper
Remove 1 screw
unhook the connector
gently pry open the switch body
Clean the contacts( I pulled the contacts out and used a dremel on a low setting)
Spraying the cleaned contacts with a bit of wd40 can't hurt
Close up the switch body
Connect the wire
Turn on the ignition and actuate the switch to confirm it working
Mount it back up
Thanks guys I jumped the connection and it lit up so I pulled off the switch and cleaned it. Works great now. Temps are only going to be in the twenties today and tomorrow then it's suppose to keep warming up starting Tuesday. I can't wait to be able to ride daily, it's killing me!
