I'm looking for advice on how to get my Uly rear end in the air, so I can remove my rear wheel. I've seen the recommendations for jacking it up by the exhaust and then bracing it by the handlebars with ratchet straps, but I have an aluminum Jardine on it and don't want to risk a giant dent. The swing arm is angled steeply enough that I can't get a rear stand to stick underneath it, and since I need access to the axle, I can't use 5-0dro's rock star spooled sliders (which I have).
What have you other Uly owners done - need help!

That would be my idea also. Either that or hang from rafters. I have a hawk can so I just jack from that.
If I were going to hang it, how/where would be the best points to run some ratchet straps? In the meantime, ill scope out the Jardine removal.
if you have to ask don't attempt it. takes more time to rig up the appropriately sized ceiling hooks, check strength of ceiling components, hook up straps and soft ties and all the other ancillary BS than it does to simply remove the jardine and jack up the bike.If I were going to hang it, how/where would be the best points to run some ratchet straps?

I use heavy duty ratchet straps and hook it to the roof's beams, and hook it back onto itself.
Other hooks I hook through Uly's rear handles.
5 mins, works a charm.
i didnt check rafters. i didnt check roof. i just prayed and waited for that awefull cracking sound. didnt happen. your rear grabhandles are strong. i strapped mine up with ratchet.
I use an engine hoist and straps.
