Thread: harley parts guy did me a solid to day.

    so i looked up my 04 bolt and saw the headlight recall. called my local dealer and asked about it. was told that i was a product recall and it had expired. oh well i thought. how much is it going to cost me? well it was discontiuned part and they will see who may have it. they found a dealer that had it. it was going to cost me around $130 for the part plus shipping. so i gave them the card and told them to order it. it came in yesterday and told them i would pick it up today. went to get it and pay for the shipping. so to my superise i was going to get a refund of $119.57. turns out the dealership that had the part got it free from harley. so my parts guy past on the savings to me and charged my $10 shipping. it did cost the dealership any thing for the part why should it cost you the parts guy told me. cant beat that reasoning. i think other dealership would have kept the money.

    the parts guy there can usally get me anything. i still wont let them work on it, but ill get parts from him.
