Sorry for the thread jack: thrstrmech, what mirrors do you have on your XB9? Feel free to PM me on that if you have a moment...

On a tank pad-related topic. Techspec (sold on ASB and eBay) makes a nice frame (which of course is the tank) gripper, and they also make pads for the air box cover for the sides and the back (as in the pic). I opted for the snakeskin style because they were a bit thicker and had some nice texture to them, though I suspect the thinner ones would be great too. I picked up my Techspec pads from their storefront on eBay. They ended up being just a bit cheaper than ASB because of shipping costs, and I got them directly from the company.

I can only speak to the frame/tank grippers, but so far I like them - cosmetically and from a grabbing your legs standpoint. They may end up keeping things a bit cooler too, but that's only speculation at this point.

they significantly keep your legs warmer. No more burning on the inner thighs in traffic or high temp days. thats the main reason I got them.

I really like them. I have the set of 4 pads and i think they look good if you put them on evenly. Also its nice to know that powdercoat on the frame and airbox cover wont fade/scratch from legs moving on them.

Best picture i have of them on my bike VVV
