I've searched for info about this and couldn't find anything that answered my question? But with the open air box should I worrie about water messing up the motor if I get caught out in the rain?

I've never had a problem with mine riding or leaving her parked in the rain, I ride year round rain or shine hot or cold and never had any weather related problems. Then again I live in southern california. The rain out here is like sprinkles in north carolina (I've lived in both)

I never had a problem, but I only got caught in the rain a couple times.

Been caught in a lot of rain storms. Paper filter would get soaked and cause running issues, switched to a k&n and haven't had any more problems.

The little rain that would make it in wont hurt it. Remember they have water meth kits for vehicles. I ride in the rain all the time.

When its to cold to ride in the rain I put my bike in the shower and rev the motor with my bathroom exhaust fan on, wouldn't want to die from carbon monoxide poisoning. O **** got to go my green peas are boiling over! :o
