Hello there guys. just got my XB9SX and I did some checks that I would love to ask question about

first of all, the bike stood around 6 7 month or more, I did the compression test and got at the front cylinder 160 PSI and the rear one 155 PSI, I've been told that the reason for the low compression is beacuse the fuel is old, I hope so... so please share and comment about that.

Another thing, the bike is choking around 8 RPM and I know the limit and that I wont even get to that RPM but I think it's beacuse the filter is K&N and the exhaust is stock so... can anyone calm me down please?!
It's my first Buell and I'm worry sick! please help!

First of all the rev limit is 7500 so 8k it is over the limit. The computer literally cuts spark to get you back down. K&N filter doesnt matter unless its a open airbox and still wont do much. Just better to have tuning for it.

160psi is pretty normal and 5psi off is not unheard of. Im not worried about pressure differences under 10psi

But could it be from the fuel? that kind of pressure? and yeah a bit of ECU resetting

Ive never heard of old fuel causing compression issues but it doesnt sound like you have a compresssion issue, how many miles are on the bike?

Thats not high millage for these bikes, my xb9sx has 26k. But yes the valves probably leak a tiny bit the pistons probably leak by a tiny bit but none of this is out of the normal. Is there a reason why you think you have a compression problem? Everything you have said is completely normal with these bikes and yours has plenty of life left on it.
