Few questions about my xb12r

I got non ethanol gas for my xb12r last fill up. Didn't seem to run any different. Usually I use Shell 89 octane. Is any gas better for it then any other gas? I'm going to change my spark plugs soon. What brand is the best? Dothan Harley / Buell is about 5 miles from me. Should I use their oem plugs or a different brand? Thanks for any help.

For a stock engine, the minimum recommended octane is 91.

The stock H-D brand spark plugs are 10R12X and work great.
NGK #4179 DCPR8E are the affordable direct replacement.
NGK Iridium #6546 DCPR8EIX are premium direct replacement and should last longer.
