it was f#cking awesome :D
Saturday morning threw a leg over the bike around 7am and headed up 93 to Columbus. It's about a 2 1/2 hour ride. It's a nice ride though I recommend state routes 93 and 140 to anybody in the area.
Met up with my good friend and personal tour guide on a vfr800 on the east side of town around 9:45ish and together we headed to a local car event in the arena district where we would rendezvous with mrlogix. The plan was to Han out for awhile and later meet with Crome at 12:00pm.
Most of the cars had thinned out by the time Mrlogix had shown up. Manage to snap a few pictures of some gems that were left.
Because....sportscar. Lol
Doc's Bentley. This car currently holds two world records and was kicked out of the ohio mile for "going too fast" :D
Feelin' ricey punk?
.....Around noon now and have heard nothingl from Crome....
After hanging around for awhile we headed out to a local place called "skyward grill", best Philly cheesesteak in ohio for sure.
....still no Crome....
Rode around town a bit and ended up at guitar center, tormented the evening staff for an hour or so before we made our way to the iron pony. Dorito and myself are regulars at both locations Lol. If you have not been to iron pony I suggest you make a point to do so. It is literally an ex-super k-mart packed full of motorcycles and gear. Usually 40-50 customers bikes parked on the side walk out front. Really cool place. Anyways spent an hour or two there. Too busy gawking at shiny new toys to take pictures.
....well past 12 now, get a text from Crome saying they would be late lol
Stop to fuel up and head east out of town for buckeye lake. Stop to get some gas and head out. Weather is beginning to look spotty. Iphone weather app states 30% chance of storms. Check the radar and there is a violent system hovering just above our destination.
It definitely stormed. Got caught in a heavy downpour and pulls off under an overpass where we met a guy on his 'boosa lol.
Classic Dorito face ha.
After befriending the 'boosa we part ways and ride through the rain to the nearest town. We ironically stop under the shelter of a car wash to dry off and regain our visibility. Mrlogix grabs some shop towels and rainx from a nearby store and we take off for the lake again.
Once again stopping to fuel up. We've already gone through two tanks of fuel. Note the shop towels stored in the 1125r's sandwhich storage compartment. Very convenient. http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/...pseeuopivn.jpg
Finally arriving at buckeye lake. A very serene and peaceful place.
Dammit. Didn't mean to post yet. I hate my iphone. Anyways....
From there we head out to a bar on the lake called papa boo's. Our first of two visits there that evening. Good food. Cool place.
From papa boo's we rode off on the first curvy road we could find. The roads had cleared up from the rain so we rode at a pretty solid pace. It was a good time. Ended up passing the triple nickel and wound up in zanesville. Finally heard from Crome an company, they had arrived at papa boo's. Fueled up again and hauled ass on i70 back to the lake. Literally hauled ass. That was fun. After meeting up and hanging out at papa boo's we escorted Crome and company to a nearby hotel and we took our leave. It was late an they had a lot of catching up to do the next day.
All the bikes together at papa boo's
All the bikes at the hotel
Agreed :D Next time we need to actually go to max and ermas and out to hocking hills. Great riding out there.it was f#cking awesome
Great write up. Looks like it was a good time even with the weather.
we was well over triple digits most of the way back to the bar :D:DFueled up again and hauled ass on i70 back to the lake. Literally hauled ass.

That being said.... Emphasis on "well" lol
what I meant to say was 'it seemed to be well over' , subjective term please.
Nice. Wouldn't mind meeting up for a ride sometime... I'm in "old" New Albany. :D
I'd like to get together again before the end of July, just sayin' :D
