Did you relocate your regulator and if so where did you place it?
No I did not, but it was always on my to-do list.

Some possible locations I did contemplate however included inside one of the air scoops, under the seat, and behind/above one of the heel-guard plates. In all these locations however, you'll need to fab a bracket, adjust the wiring length, & find new routing for the harness that looks clean.

Vance came up with another solution for the 1125 here.

I ended up just using longer bolts & hollow aluminum tubing to set the VR off the stock bracket by another ~3/4" to help prevent so much heat transfer from the header.

You wont happen to have a picture of that would you? Because I was thinking of doing the same for this bike. if you don't have a picture not a big deal just would like a visual of what i need to accomplish. Thank you for your extended help its much appreciated!

not necessary. GO always supplies great info on here and what he's talking about is this:
    1-remove VR stock bolts
2-fetch identical bolts but approx. 3/4 inch longer
3-find aluminum or steel tubing that the bolt snugly fits into. fuel line tubing works best. thinwall construction looks best.
    4. cut 2 pieces each approx. 3/4 inch long.
    5. order of reassembly is: each tubing piece against VR threaded hole, then VR, then bolts, then tighten.

Awesome you both sound like you know what your doing and it is much appreciated. Now that you explained that I understand perfectly and this will be done when he gets the regulator in some time soon i hope. My buddy ordered it today so we will see when it shows up at his door. :D

I should be clear that there was no magic to the 3/4" dimension; it was just what I had laying around & it fit. You may have better results with even longer bolts...

There's a voltage gauge thread here if you want peace of mind & advance warning of future VR failures...
