Looking at buying an 08 frontier.. need some input as I did some research and found out that they have terrible drive train issues.. not the engine. Just everything behind it.. bad u joints.. transfer case, and rear ends.. any in-site would be good

I'm interested in one of these as well. Been looking into a smaller truck and it's down to this or a Tacoma.

I had an '01 frontier back in '04-05 or so, loved it but my daughters mother made me sell if for a car instead. Got a '10 frontier back at the end of '11 from one of our fellow forum members, loved that one even more. Really should have kept it but got offered a smokin' deal on a '13 frontier pro4x 6 spd manual and I couldn't resist (although I love this one, too!), so traded it in. My brother has a '13 tacoma...rode in it recently and was very much unimpressed. Although only one of those falls into the year range you mentioned, I haven't issues with any of them...they have all been excellent trucks.

Yes I was also interested in a tacoma but haven't had any luck with good buys being local... Miami I know the mileage is different being manual but what could I expect on an average. Heavy foot sometimes.. also the truck is an 08 with 92k miles.. I got them down to 17750 with taxes and liscensing.. good deal or no. It books for 18500

I just traded my 2011 frontier in. No problems at all, just a brake job. The only reason I traded it in was, I wanted a 4 door. So now I have a 2013 frontier.

I get crap mileage up here in AK, it dropped significantly when I moved up. ****ty gas most likely, premium octane up here is 90...the Buell hates it. When I was down in Vegas I was easily getting 18-20mpg depending on how aggressive I drove, up here I get 15-18mpg at best.

That doesn't sound like that bad of a deal...I got an amazing deal on my '10...13k miles, 4x4, 4 door, sunroof, etc. for $21K. Should have kept that truck but I was itching bad for that 6 spd...

I have a 2009 4x4 crew cab long bed. It has 177,000 miles on it and the only issues I have had are the normal- wheel bearings and the like. The truck is great I cant complain at all. I need to change a u joint on it and its due for a good servicing but it been one heck of a good truck. I will say that I hate changing oil on it the filter placement is terrible.
