All I can say is...ITS ABOUT TIME.. Cars and aircraft have had this for years if not decades and it seems that our chosen hobby or lifestyle is behind the curve a bit.
This all reminds me of a little(cheesy by today's standards)movie called Timerider from 1982. So it took us 30yrs to get there but still its a great step forward.
$1500 is a bit steep for my own wallet and I am kinda surprised that Schuberth hadn't done this already as I consider them the leader in tech helmets.
