Looking for any 520 conversion parts.

I can do the whole thing new for $240. But if someone has parts laying around for cheaper, why not.

    New prices (+shipping) are below
    PBI front 21t - $33
    Vortex rear 50t - $78
    EBR Idler/Spacer - $35
Renthal 520 R3-2 chain - $93 (I'm on the fence with this one, has great reviews but I've not heard of this chain on a street bike)

    Maybe a Renthal 520 R4 SRS-120 ($107) instead?

Looking for any of the above in 520 versions, obviously cheaper than I have listed.

Riding Dual Sports & Super Motos has given me the chance to try street chains off-road, & vice-versa.

Based on my experience, I don't think you'll encounter any significant issues with your plan.

Not sure what type of master link comes with the chain, but clip links, which are common off-road for cleaning & lubing purposes, can come loose at the very high speeds of street bikes.

I don't like clip links. I prefer the press style.

Don't forget the sprocket nut from EBR designed to work with the PBI sprocket...which btw, I got the last one in stock and also the EBR idler sprocket...neither one has been in stock since I ordered it a few months ago.

    Sprocket nut, +$12

2 months ago when my belt stripped (yes, stripped, not snapped) I was looking at going chain drive and saw the parts available on EBR.Then I found RockyMountainATV.com has Gates belts for $144; bought that instead.

It snapped 2 days ago. They will warranty it, but I'm gathering chain parts anyways. Now those are "Out of Stock". Thanks Melvster. I'm sure they'll get more if someone calls and shows interest.

    when my belt stripped
Got pics? I've always wondered about the potential of shearing-off the teeth but I've never actually heard of it happening!

The belt was on the bike from the previous owner. Looking at the teeth, I think it was simply the wrong belt. It was Panther brand, fit tight/snug, but the teeth were shaped wrong.

All rash on bike is from previous owner(s) as well.

    More pics here.
