So I recently bought a 2004 XB12R and I can't see anything with my low beam on at night. I replaced both lamps with Sylvania Silver Stars and its still horrible. During the day you can't really tell if its on or not. Any ideas? I double checked all the connections when I replaced the lamps maybe something came loose that I didn't see?

Maybe you have the old type, that the reflective lining has wore off? There was a recall but it is over with now.You can also take the lights apart and remove the little metal tab inside, which may help a little.

^^^^^ good info. there's also a grounding point for the front wire stack at the steering head area. check those wires as well. a corroded or loose grounding point will dim the lights.

Thanks guys I'm probably just going to replace the whole assembly after I check that ground. I have a more pressing issue right now and I don't really ride at night.
