it wants to mate with the Vespa. Move the scooter to the right side of the bike and see if it straightens out.....

Has someone changed the order of the wires in this plug? Im guessing may have attempted the dual headlight mod but accidentally switched the wrong wires.

obviously someone switched the wires somewhere from the switch to the assembly. bust out the manual ands find where someone switched the pins around.

i can't think of anything other than it was assembled backwards at the factory. left is always low beam from factory and red switch down towards you is always low beam as well. options????
1-switch the plugs at back of headlight pod
2-switch the yellow and white wires on the harness end of the plug. harness end being end closest to handlebars.
yellow is low beam.....white is high beam.

well my old headlight did this too.. the high and low elements were switched around.. I had a low on the right and a high beam on the left.. didn't bother me bc the main switch worked like it was supposed to.
This one is working like it is supposed to but my switch doesn't make sense.. it has high on the right and a low on the left... but my switch is backwards.. I have to turn my brights on to get the low beam. But the order of the wires on the connector are correct and the wiring on the switch end looks normal too... WTF?? and why did the PO have this problem and why did he need to switch the lightbulbs like that instead of sorting it out?

tom: i gave you bad info above. end of work day and i'm exhausted. let's back this up to square 1 and make it simple. i just checked 3 lightnings in my shop and here is the scoop:
right bulb is always LOW beam from factory....right as when you are sitting on bike.
left bulb is always HIGH beam from factory. only 1 bulb lights from the factory but you already know that.
since the bike was modded when you bought it.....as per your youtube statement.....i suggest you check the wiring from the main loom up towards the dash and hi/low beam switch. someone switched those wires IMO. it can't be anything else.
