    Hi guys.

I am looking for a more robust off road foot peg. The stock ones provide no grip in muddy conditions and not particularly confidence inspiring on heavy rocky roads.

Want to know if other bike pegs might fit, so I can look for second hand ones.

    Thanx!

I can't answer that, but have you thought about making your existing ones better?

^ those would probably be best as they have room for mud and stuff to fall through.

If your cheap and looking for a temp fix, and have a dremel... just grind some small X's on the raised portions. Like this. Bottom one X'd.

    Super grippy!

    Those pegs are nice jstav!

Nicholas, i love cheap! Our exchange rates suck! (10:1 against US$), plus shipping and import duties...

    I will have a look.

The idea is to find suitable pegs of a totalled bike (GS, KTM or something). If the geometry etc is the same.

I've seen some folks modify BMX platform pedals. Never tried it myself but they'd give you a nice big comfy area to stand on for extended periods, they'd be grippy and they'd be cheap!

^^^ I can second that, after purchasing the 2 inch drop pegs I would never go back. Regardless of the extra inch I benefited from they are some of the best quality foot legs I have seen on the market. Tons of grip and very thick material. Very satisfied customer.
