Sicsteeth, I think I've seen that on craigslist, but an as is exactly what I do not want. Minimum I want short wheelbase and short seat height.

I've also been keeping an eye on this bike, looks great, but would want to put the stock lights back on. And over the years, have figured out stock ifs usually better than someone else's hack job. Not saying this is a hack, but you never really know until you tear it apart.

I couldn't agree more, but I will not lie, that owner is creative and I dig the way it looks.

that's an scg, ask if he's got the headlight modules...figuring out what he's done to the turn signals and head light shouldn't be that difficult

Don't take a Buell older than 2009, otherwise you will fight with leaking gaskets, rubber components, bearings, electric wires and parts, plugs, rusted bolts and another bunch of different issues.
What? dude, I've own my '03 9s for eight and half years, ran the original belt 'til 66,600 miles, replaced the fan and shift forks, replaced gaskets/seals as needed which wasn't anything out of the ordinary maintenance required. Have had a few minor issues that took a few minutes to repair. She's now got over 68k and still runs like a champ. So to say don't take anything older than an '09 is an injustice. It's the maintenance upkeep on the bike that will dictate it's overall condition and performance. If the owner maintains it properly, in most cases it's fine. if it's neglected hence issues you will have. Now, there may be a manufacturer defect here and there, that would fall on quality control and that's out of your control. And I'm the third owner of the bike, bought her with a reading of 2500 miles.

Yeah, that bike is an scg. In the 2 months I have been looking, I am shocked at how many people don't know what they have. I no longer search for xb12scg, I just search for buell and first look for the low seat. Then confirm with the yellow spring or zwx vin. Then I look for the all black 09-10, and at a minimum look for the 06+ swing arm.

I was surprised that someone with that much custom work, doesn't know which model he has.

I don't understand the unreliability either. People at my work all tell me not to get a buell because they are not reliable. Just because one guy there had one that had problems. I can't find anything that suggests any year of a buell is a bad year.

If you want unreliable ride my 96" 1969 shovel head

    yeap...

looking at the picture at the top of your post...race exhaust and select seat, just saying:D the last link posted, Corbin seat and original textured seat, minor rash on the right side chin fairing, looks fairly clean, replacement windscreen needed and that could be had for less that 70 bucks

Yeah, the first one was definitely an s

Last one, an scg with an extra Corbin seat. And I don't want the Corbin or the helmet so could sell those or make him keep them to cover the costs of fixing the wind screen
