Thread: Vinyl Wrap

  1. #1
Has anyone pursued vinyl wrapping their bike? (Similar to commercial vehicle advertising) I'm looking to do no logo or graphics, just want to wrap the airbox cover, windscreen, feder and lower fender in matte black. Thoughts?

I'm actually going to do it hopefully this weekend. I was going to go with a flat black or this silver vinyl I got real cheap. BUT, Since I have the ability to print and cut some vinyl, I'm going to try that first. Black and blue flames.

Fun with Photoshop. This is roughly what I'm going to do with the vinyl.

Hey Flaya, why don't you just send your flyscreen to Matter, He can airbrush that same thing. HE does the best flames I've ever seen.

Eventually I plan on getting it painted but for now, I can get the vinyl printed for practically nothing and I'm going to put it on all the plastics. It's not that difficult to remove if I get tired of it, which may happen and it's for the most part, instant gratification.

That's good to know though. Does he have a website or some pictures of his work?

I am actually doing a vinyl wrap today on my plastics. I used a wrap from www.trackwraps.com
Seems like great stuff. No air bubbles, easy to install/remove. Its what they use for race vehicles, ect.
Watch some of the videos on the site. I just received it yesterday, so I will be attempting it today. I will let you know how it turns out. I plan to do a writeup when I am done.

I Hi i have had all my past bikes done in vinyl mostly clear to protect but had the Uly flyscreen in mat black and the chin spoiler in gloss black(the standard color looks odd). I even had the forks done to stop the sandblasting from cars.My advice is to use the thick one .8mm it lasts so much longer.I tried to load some pics dunno how some advice maybe? Please?
