New to the forum and to Buell - although I have been on the search for the 'right' one for over a year.

    Found a great one -

2009 with 3 miles on the ODO.

Bike was purchased new and prepped (by the dealer) for long term storage, then delivered to a climate controlled storage unit. The buyer's plan was to sit on it for 20 years and then get rich on the sale..... Well, not so much so.

Haven't decided if I should ride it or sell it to a collector or someone who wants the thrill of riding a new Buell. How many of these 'new' bikes are out there after all? How much value gets ridden off?

White/Blue and perfect in every aspect. Even the manuals are still shrink wrapped.

    Keith

Sad thing is, as a brand new unit even now it needs work, EBR rotor, upgraded stator, clutch slave... to be a practical reliable bike.

Or its a bad ass collectable, not ridden or run.

    Where, and how much?

Awesome find ksouthard. I got my 09 earlier this year from a harley dealership for $5500, and it had 991 miles in perfect condition. Hopefully that can help with your question, but my .02 is to ride your "new" beast. Only good reason to collect buells is to have fun on different models:D

Bikes are made to be ridden and not to sit around, the longer it sits the more **** it will need. (RIDE IT)

If there's anything to be said here, it's that the original owner proved you won't get rich sitting on a buell.

IMO 2009 is 2nd best year to have (got black motor & ZTL2 setup from 1125.
& is virtually identical to the best (2010) minus fuel pressure regulator, header & ECM update for 2nd o2 bung, actually making these the easiest to tune well.

I'd think a museum somewhere would want it though. Be a shame to rack up miles if you have other bikes or means to get other bikes. There are probably more new ones than people think but there aren't a lot by any means. Most people at least ride them home from the dealer
