It's possible you can get someone like avid to possibly do a mismatch set like they do for the 1125r brake setup
Cool, thanks for the info. How do you get the brake/clutch levers to match now?

For anyone interested in this upgrade, pretty much ANY modern sportbike master cylinder off around 05-newer R6, R1, ZX6R, ZX10R, GSXR 600/750/1000, CBR 600/1000 will work.
With levers you just buy the lever you need to fit the buell on the clutch, and the lever you need for whatever master you use as pretty much EVERY good lever manufacturer sells the levers seperately.
Will the stock line/banjo bolt fit those master cylinders?
It should, had a firebolt too, but did not do this mod. I would take a measurement of the steering at full cock and compare it to the master cylinder you want to use.Question is.....Will it clear the firebolt fairing
Yes, it should in most cases being that the Buell master cylinder is Japanese. Will the stock line/banjo bolt fit those master cylinders?
Have you found that the brake switch alignment works with other models as well? My buddy has an 03 XB9 and put an 05 GSXR master cylinder on and had to modify the switch to work properly. With the R6 nothing needed to be done. For anyone interested in this upgrade, pretty much ANY modern sportbike master cylinder off around 05-newer R6, R1, ZX6R, ZX10R, GSXR 600/750/1000, CBR 600/1000 will work.
thanks, if it doesn't, there's a local shop that carries several in stock, since I needed one for the Brembo rear caliper.
take a measurement for me if you can and ill compare it on my bike.
I thought it was recommended to use a 17mm piston front MC (6 pot), can you use a smaller/larger piston MC on the XBs?
Cheer!
