hey new to forums, just got myself a xb9 I want to turn into like a supermoto style and want to raise the suspension to like a ulysses height, can I just grab aftermarket ulysses fork springs and rear shock or just rear shock spring? will this work in the xb9? or is there an easier way? im not a genius on suspension.

    any advice appreciated thanks

    I've attempted this.

= No, uly shock hits short chassis (r,s) frames unless you move the shock mount or modify the frame.

Also ohlins on the wrong bike and or other massive changes to the geometry of the suspension never ends well.

The long chassis frames have different shock mounting locations to allow the longer rear shock. You might be able to do SS rear shock & STT forks but I've not personally tried that

You could use a ully frontend and pick up a "Ss" swing arm spacer for the rear. It should raise the bike about 1 1/2 inches.

Actually I have a chance to get an 09 xb12ss swingarm this should fit my 06 xb9s shouldnt it? For the forks can I just change the internal spring and inner fork tube to raise the front or is the only option to get a ulysses or xb12ss long front end?

You have to move shock mount around. It will hit frame or tail undertray unless you get right combination of rear shock & swing arm mounting points.

I've got complete uly suspension. Shipping will be a lot I bet. I've sent small stuff to NZ/AUS but never large stuff.
