When I get my bike, it will need new tires put on, and obviously it will need to be put up in the air. I was looking at jacks, but don't like the idea of lifting from the muffler. So stands it is, but don't want to spend a ton.
First question is, can you use triple tree mounts with the SCG suspension? This picture of a firebolt makes me feel like it wont.
There is a set of pitbull stands on criagslist right now for $175, but that's a little more than I want to spend.
I like the price of these, and look to be good quality(I know Pitbull or nothing...) but not sure if I will be able to use the triple tree mount. $90

So there are also these without the triple tree mount. $60

Now both of those only go out to 13" on the rear, and from my research we need about 14". Looks like there is a spring on the pad that could be removed to make it work though.
Thought or suggestions?
T-rex Racing...is what I use
that firsts set would be fine, hope it's wide enough for the rear
Yep, I saw that. Still leaves some questions unanswered.
Here is a thread about these venom stands. Sounds like worse case, the rear stand might need to be bent out.

T-rex I feel is still over priced.T-rex Racing...is what I use

I agree, I think they will be fine, not the best, but not the worst. Worst case I'll have to bend the rear a little. I'm not using it several times a day at a track, just every once in a while when I need to change tires.
Still wondering if the triple tree mount will work on a xb12scg
05 scg with pitbulls enough said....
But if money is tight you can change the tires with a scissor jack and the bike being on the kickstand.
Thanks, so, is the only thing that keeps the triple tree mount straight up and down the pin?
atv jack, and strap work fine also, easy to move around too.
There is a pin that goes into the bottom of the triple tree...
Use a pit bull #2 pin... For buells they recommend #3 for some and #2 for others.... I found with the scg.... the #3 pin fits to tight and makes it hard to remove the stand without removing the front fender.
My stands are 8-1/2 yrs, old and bought 'em off ebay from T-rex , both for $99, got the triple tree adapter last year for $41, this time direct from their website. With the front stand, I removed the fork lift prongs and used two trailer hitch pins from harbor freight, red handles on 'em. Perfect fit into the stand, which was inserted then into the axle lifting the front end. That was before I got the adapter.
