    any thoughts on why speedo quit working? and thoughts about adding a tach?

    Speed sensor is dirty or done for. I think it's the same as XB, I have one or 2 good spares.

    The sensor is the quicker and easier thing to replace.

    Although speedometers themselves have been known to take a crap from time to time.

    Mine doesn't start working for a few miles. Beginning of the sensor going out. $60 and an easy fix from what I read.
