I have ordered the parts to put the blast that I buoght off of buellybagger back together. Every thing seems to be there but decided to get some new gaskets and push rods. I do plan on putting NOS blast heater graphics on it. My parts guy is cutting a nice deal on them. But before I buy them, I need to put the old girl back together again. I'll put pics up of my progress or lack thereof.

Me to. First thing is get the motor back together. This is a little different than my firebolt. And after I thought I had the parts and gaskets to do it, I have to run and get 4 more gaskets. Lol. Oh well. Do it right the first time, less issues down the road.

    Well I got it started.

Then I snapped a bolt putting the rocker box on. And the easy out I need I broke on another project. Lol its not a project unless you have a set back or 10.

That's the wrong rockerbox gasket. It should be orange. H-D shops claim the black one is a newer revision, but the orange one (ends in A) seals better.

Thanks for the heads up. I was going by the part numbers in the parts manual and that's what populated in the computer.

Yeah, the black ones are revision-B, but the orange revision-A are better. The only reason I can figure they went to rev-B would be manufacturing costs since the orange ones have a significant rubber-like coating where the black ones do not appear to; at least not to the same degree.
