If it's cold where you like it is is here in Syracuse NY, you may want to ask for the rear fender or start looking for one, since you will eventually ride in the rain. Mirrors are a personal preference; I'm returning to stock style so I can hang my helmet when gassing up.

    Enjoy the ride!

Yes a rear fender is in order. And just like fat girls on dating websites, my picture is a little deceitful. It was dropped on the left side. Dent in the frame. Hoping pucks cover that up! Other wise I may get it fixed. Oh and it has 11000 miles not 8000. My bad.

If you wanna swap tails I'm looking for one without the fender.

Just sayin, I don't know about compatibility or color-matching between your bike and my 07 Xb12STT but I'm game.

So upon my constant searching i see that this has had the tail chop done, and i know what everyone is referring to when they say cheese grater. If anyone has a tail that hasnt been chopped and wants to trade, i want that cheese grater. Im not even sure the correct term. Couldnt find anything on ebay

Was at a few local bike shops this weekend and found some protaper handguards brand new with hardware for $30. Got home and was a little worried they werent going to work with such little room on the bars but i squeezed them on there and they look amazing. Better than the stock ones and for $70 less. Ill try to get some pictures up. The ones i took In my garage are a little too dark. Also did the headlight mod. This thing is coming together. Just need a tail now.

Does anyone know if a Uly or TT front fender will mount to the regular lightning?

Uly fender bolts right on. 05 XB & some random models have the 2 bolt lower triple also. Or just use the headlight mount piece & the brake line mount. Fender is fine, only weighs few oz. not going to fly off.

^ Thanks dude! I noticed this morning while heading to work that one of my lower triple bolts is MIA. In fact quite a few bolts are missing from this machine. Such is life with a 45 degree v-twin.
