1125 intermitent shutoff

Ran into this problem last weekend but only happened once when really low on fuel and was hoping the bike just had ran out, but happened this morning again. After about a hour ride to work I come off the exit ramp, pull the clutch to cost into the gas station to fill up and the bike dies again (similar circumstances to the last time I rode it) Hit the starter and it cranks right back up.

Anyone run into this? I thought tps but its reading 2% closed and 100% open so I dont think thats it. Charging systems working right, not overheating.

I would almost think a wire somewhere except it only happens when coming to coast after a long ride.

I have a slightly similar issue. In total is has probably happened 10 times over the span of almost 2 years. Only at sub 10mph speed off idle with the clutch pulled IN. I have noticed it only kicks off when I go to blip the throttle (a nasty habit of mine ) I have chocked it up to a few things.

1. Low battery or bad battery, I know my battery is on it's way out and has been for a while. I have just been putting it off. I.e insufficient charge in the system and not enough voltage to deal with a quick change in demand from minimal to optimal.

2. Too much air/fuel too quick. This may or may not be the culprit in your case but I am about 70% certain it is in my case. The 1125 has massively oversized throttle bodies. And with a modified intake/exhale system, which I have, the bike can take in too much too quick and "suffocate" for lack of better terms.

The barracuda actually had smaller throttle bodies than the 1125.

Interesting, thanks for the response. Im gonna dig into it when I get home.

So far its only happened twice, and not when blipping the throttle. But only when rolling off the throttle quickly maybe its loosing air too quickly and the IAC isnt keeping up.

Its kinda unnerving especially given the sometimes touchy restarting of a 1125. Getting to work is no issue (no stop and go traffic) getting home is gonna be interesting.

Hows your idle speed? They would exhibit both of those symptoms with a low idle.

Idles around 1k +-100rpm.
Only thing that Ive changed recently was removing the noid which was hooked up but disabled through the EBR ECM. wouldn't think that would change anything.

That is pretty low. I can't remember what mine is off the top of my head. I can check later this evening if no one chimes in by then.

Dumb question but are the battery terminals clean & tight? If not you'll get exactly the symptom you describe.

Im gonna check that before I take off out of the parking lot this afternoon. I just did some "spring" maintenance on the bike added a on board tender connection etc at that time I thoroughly cleaned the terminals. I suppose its possible they have wiggled loose after logging some pretty good miles over the weekend.
