just drain the tank, do about 0.5l of new, clean fuel in, drain it again. now get about 2-5l in, let it idle for 2-5min & ride it for a good 15 minutes (till she's nice and warm)
fill her up and ride on! ;)
I just bought a 2006 XB12ss and I think the guy i got it from didn't ride it for a little while and it was just sitting in his garage. So i was thinking i should run some sort of injector cleaner that i could run in my gas for a few tanks. Is there a good product out there that would do the trick? and Is this a good idea?

run a tank of 100 through it.
Seafoam. That stuff works miracles.
oh yea i forgot about seafoam.
i agree, seafoam or techron should do the trick.
ok great, i take it this seafoam has instructions on how much to mix. thanks alot guys
The directions are clear on the bottle. I believe it's about an ounce per gallon.
I saw on another forum someone was saying to put seafoam in your oil but didn't say much about it after that. Would that be smart to do? or should i just put it in my gas tank?
you can put the recommended amount of Seafoam in the fuel and oil. grab a bottle at the autoparts store and read the label, its got all kinds of good uses.
while OT a bit... i was just out in the garage today using some Seafoam in the fuel and oil of my Husky dirt bike that i submerged in a deep water crossing, twice, causing a nasty milkshake in my motor. 4 changes later and shes good as new
