So you don't NEED to take the brackets off, just impractical for a passenger with this seat. I only ask because the brackets support my saddlebags and I don't like the regular SS seat.
I will Jim when it stops raining I'll have to take her out for a good rip around town and take some better pics and post what I think of it. Sherm from what I can tell it's really thin in the back and would be Hella uncomfortable.

I don't know the answer to that one Sherm. I took off my rear pegs way before I got the seat. Hopefully someone sees this that has the answer for you.
The only reason they say to take the pegs off is because the urban assault seat is not rated for a passenger. Even has a nice imprint on the seat . It's just some legal bs, leaving the pegs on will not affect anything.
Someone already stated it's just a legal thing, but I don't foresee a disaster if a passenger where to get on the urban seat.
Ok so I got a chance to get her out today and rip around for a while. That seat rocks the bike seems more nimble. I really dig how the riding position has changed some it seems to put me more forward and it makes me grip the bike better. I did notice when you get on it hard you tend to side back forcing the better grip. I love it so far!!
Dude that seat is sick! I want one!
Looks great by the way... not sure if you can tell, but I have been thinking about getting one myself. Thanks for the help guys.
