Are you referring to the plug-in or the cable driver? I did install the plug-in in the correct location but the only thing that mentioned the cable driver in the instructions were, " Make sure to have the ECM transfer cable and the cable driver installed on the laptop." I am not sure where to get the cable driver?

For reference I just downloaded the driver for windows from this link: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm but I still cannot get tunerpro to recognize the cable. Any ideas?

Actually, everyone can disregard those last two posts. Although I kept getting that error saying the cable wasn't recognized I went ahead and hooked it up to the bike. I was able to connect and do everything so i assume it to be fine.

Now if anyone could supply me with a map for a 2008 xb9s with a K&N air filter and Hawk pipe that would be awesome!!

I've seen referral to "learn mode" but can't find much on how these bikes should be ridden after the TPS reset.
I'm going to change exhaust on my 09 xb9 and am wondering if lunatic or anyone can expand on this: tps reset and purposeful 25 mile ride in "learn-mode".

What exactly should a purposeful ride post-tps reset on 08+ bikes entail? Input appreciated.

I believe it's a slow ride, no sudden acceleration or decel.... Something I just can't seem to do.

Keeping around 3-4000 rpm for 10-20 minutes if I remember, I may be wrong

hi calvin: "ride in learn mode" parameters same after tps reset for XB's....BMW RT models....all H-D ride by wire models as well. in essence the guidelines are simple and approximates: after performing a tps reset on any XB ride sensibly for approx. 25 miles. no prolonged idling...no trips to redline...no full throttle pulls...no long steep heavily loaded up-hill trips. just ride sensibly and don't hammer the bike. also important to use proper start sequence during this time: key on for needles sweep....then run switch to on for system set-up....then start AFTER CEL light extinguishes. hope that helps

So I'm assuming you would want to warm up/idle the bike for a few minutes. Shut down, do tps, then restart as mentioned above, and take off right away for a leisurely jaunt.
