Received my sprag clutch and housing yesterday. Just for general FYI. New Castle HD Sprag clutch $175 and sprag clutch housing $98. With shipping it all came to $302.00. Surdyke and New Castle go back and forth on prices. One week New Castle is the cheapest, next week Surdyke HD will be cheaper.

Picked up a couple of new oil filters from fleabay. Going to put the parts in this weekend and flush the engine with conventional motor oil to ensure the particulate from the sprag failure gets flushed out before switching back to Amsoil. New stator gasket thanks to Mr. Cosworth. Will be pulling the oil pickup screen and cleaning also.

Can't wait to get back on two wheels, its been a long winter. :D

^^^^^^ john....i know virtually nothing about 1125's but aren't they wet clutch common sump motors? if so i'd be very careful using any sort of energy conserving auto oil in there as the clutch plates hate that stuff. you're probably aware of this already so i'll shut my mouth and go away now. :D

Yes, the friction plates don't like that stuff. I will be using just conventional petroleum based oil like Pennzoil and filling, starting the bike up and allowing it to get to full operating temp. Shut down, drain all the oil, change the filter again and cleaning the pickup screen before I refill with the Amsoil. I appreciate the reminders John, I forget more than I remember (getting old sucks). :D

that is so tempting. Was trying to negotiate a transfer with my company, but they want me to take a pay cut because that plant pays lower wages than the one I am at. Been looking for jobs in the Dallas area. The other plant my company has in Texas is in the McAllen/Edinburg area on the border.

When I do the repair this weekend should I take pic's? Seems like a lot of the new guys are picking up 1125s and I don't know if anyone has done a pic thread on the process. If there is already one, I don't need to, if not I am willing to share my pain.
