They are trying to screw you, that's ridiculous
I've spoken to one motorcycle shop and that's what they told me it would cost because the part of the swing arm needs to be removed and it would take a long time. They also had to call a Harley dealership to ask.
I've had two new tires with installation done for less and the last time I've replaced the original belt I know it was nowhere near that.
Is it reasonable or am I being unreasonable?
I was also told to ride safe, how!?:D

Sounds unreasonable to me.
way too high, it is easy you can do it in less then 30min,and it is not hard to take the swing arm piece off
Ztied +1 very easy job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fu¢k that shop!!!! ¡
It's cheaper to buy the belt, a manual and do it your self. They're trying to shaft you.
It's easy.
Loosen rear shaft pinch bolt, loosen the rear shaft 15 turns, remove the idler pulley, remove the swing arm brace and remove the old belt. install new belt and reverse process. Follow all recommended torque spec's...
Easy money.
When he told me the price, it sounded more like a "We don't serve those kind here".way too high, it is easy you can do it in less then 30min,and it is not hard to take the swing arm piece off
+1 for Dellinger as well!
Well thanks guys. You've made me feel like I wasn't crazy when I heard that price quote.
Where are you located? I'm sure a local Bueller would be happy to help.
