I am thinking of just taking the original exhaust off of the blast and running it as a straight pipe. What all would i also have to do to the bike after I turned it into a Straight pipe?

Typically the lack of any back pressure will make it run leaner (and hotter). So in your Blast, jet the carb a little richer. In the XB, tune the ECM, or add a Dobeck TFI.
