I know its a common question here, but now that the summer is close and is getting really hot here in nyc, just wondering whats best for hot weather, should i use 2p 50 or what,, thanks in advance
Already went thru my friend just seeking for different opinions, different year different mileage ,different weather, what you use it for( highway or city) all these might make lil sense when it comes to oil.. But thanks anyways for help
really...getting really hot here in nyc
come on down to central Arizona:D
20/50 Amsoil, Mobile 1, etc... owners preference on what brand used. ride my bike year round both in California and Arizona, city and highway and it's an '03 Lightning just shy of 70k on the clock.
Well we had a bad winter up here, went at -15 at some point so for us right now its warm and humid, was thinking to put 20/50 on it too, ive the same bike with just 1200 miles on it, but there is a little noise in the engine, probably should be the oil i believe, other than that runs perfect
These engines are inherently noisy,(not to say that something couldnt be wrong) I run 20/50 amsoil here in southern texas 100+ degrees with no problems.
Does the 2005 xb9s city has the same noise as my 2003 xb9s ??
yes.Does the 2005 xb9s city has the same noise as my 2003 xb9s ??
if it's any help i had a 2008 XB12 lightning Ss long that i kept in a friend's building in brooklyn for 2 years. was right across harbor from tip of manhattan. would ride it around NYC quite often just to sight-see. ran both amsoil 20-50 cycle oil and castrol act-evo 20-50 in it along with quality oil filter and it performed flawlessly. quality filter worth a few extra $
I swear by amsoil. I run it in all of my bikes, 20w50 in my cr. And its worth the extra few bucks for a nice k&n oil filter. Amazon sells them cheaper than the local advance.
Same, 20w50 amsoil synthetic. from Georgia bike eventually going to be in AZ just no time soon!
