I figured 1oz might be to much but I figured why not try it. Havnt done anything today besides sit outside and enjoy the weather lol. I have a few errands to do a little later I'll but some gas in and see how she does.

I've mixed Amsoil Dominator at 2oz/20L in my refueling can. That works out to a 1:340 ratio which is a little on the heavy side. The XB9 drinks it up just fine. I do think that sub-3000rpm may be no better or even worse, but above 3000rpm is definitely better. I'm going to ease up on the ratio to a 1:480 or 1:512 in the next gas can to see if the results are better.

I saw an oil analysis from a guy that was running 1:600 in his Corvette, he had about a year of this under his belt.. results came out "excellent", way above normal. I cant find it now though.. I was hitting a lot of Hot Rod forums and I cant remember what one it was where I found that.

to everyone... 1 part 2-cycle to 600 parts fuel (you do the math based on the size of your tank) is the good baseline as a starting point. I bumped it up to 1 part per 300 and both my 984 and my 1203 liked it, but its going to depend on your setup. Stock or modified fuel maps, filters, exhausts, engine oil , carbs or injected , one piston or two, liquid cooled or air-cooled.. ALL of that is probably going to be a factor in what you end up with. You are going to have to find out what works best with what. OH, and my 9SX is running dual air scoops , that also makes a difference from what I can tell.. I may swap them over to my 12 and see what the reaction is.
For me, Im race mapped, KN filters all around, Jardine exhaust and 20w-60HD Redline ( I REALLY recommend that Redline 60.. makes a big difference)

I've ran a few tanks of ½oz per tank on my blast and so far so good. I've been getting better midrange to top end pull and same or maybe a little bit better gas mileage. The only down fall is on start up it wants to stumble a bit tell warmed up, but some of that has to deal with carb tuning(I'm still waiting on the mail for my carb parts).

Well the rain has finally ended in north central Texas so I have been able to get back out on the road. I added about 1 - 1.2 ounces at last fill up Monday. What I can definitely report is that she is idling smoother with less vibrating and rpm bouncing. The top end is silky smooth and has more torque, actually caught me off guard as I was not expecting that. Gas light has not come on yet although I am just over 100 miles into the fill up so no report on fuel mileage yet. Can't say that I have noticed any difference in the fuel pump but honestly haven't paid as much attention to that. Haven't had any of the start up issues others have reported.

Dual scoops, K&N filter, breather reroute, Hawk exhaust, race map tuned.

Listen to what Jay Leno says at 10:00 about adding oil to your fuel on his old Knucklehead.
