not a fan of the shorai strictly due to pricing....what shawn said above on the Big Crank. they are deka batteries available at batterymart.com tremendous CCA's....great warranty....all USA componentry and manufacturing right up the road from me....AGM style....terminals are outstanding. batterymart.com usually has free freight on them and priced under $80.

I have a lithium iron battery in my XB. Biggest mistake I ever made. The cold weather performance is terrible. I got one through a company called starkpower. I bought the battery with the highest CCA that I could for my bike and it still performs terribly anytime the mercury dips into the low 40s. TOTALY sucks for me cause I have a heated jacket liner and grips that made cold weather riding a non issue. Now my battery makes it so it doesn't happen as often as Id like.
Go with lunatics suggestion! Wish I'd have been better informed before I made my purchase.
BTW I'm only speaking from my experience with the lithium iron battery I got from starkpower. All of them may not exhibit the same terrible cold weather performance.

good post. that seems to be the universal complaint with these type of batteries. and the pricing just not competitive.

I have a top end battery from Batteries Plus. Works great. To be truthful though, my neighbor owns three of them and hooked me up with a great deal.

I use Duracell for Xb12. The battery works good. To install the Duracess you will need longer screws for wires.
