Why wouldn't it plug and play?
I have a 2003 XB9 Lightning and I've come to loathe the cheese grater on the rear. I've seen a few different ways of chopping it but I was hoping for some advice on a clean swap or "plug and play" kit (Still need a license plate holder obviously). So far I only have found the following:

^^^^^ Would this even "plug-n-play" with a 2003? ^^^^^
Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
@oh9bolt the Note for the 2009-2010 models kinda threw me off I guess, I was hoping to keep the brake light red with amber turn signals
All you are getting is the metal part, you use your own light and signals.
Yeah I have no garage and hardly any tools to fabricate anything, hence why I wanted the easier option of someone already making the part. I guess I was curious to see if there were other OPTIONS other than the one I mentioned above. But thanks for the input either way @thrstrmech. And also thank you @oh9bolt for clarifying.
There are a few folks out there that will chop your tail for a fee. The diesel moto is the only pre fabricated solution I've seen. I'm currently trying to determine if it will work for my STT.
The diesel moto fits all Lightnings, including long models.
Yeah, i looks like it will fit but it looks like I'd sacrifice the most aft mounting point for the STT plates.
What about if you go with the XB lights option that has signals integrated into the brake light? It there any just simple license plate bracket with no blinkers? Would this work for that?
