I found a leftover 2013 Ninja 1000 abs for $7999. I picked her up today in Troy, NY at Troy Cycle Garage. It was a 5 hour round trip plus an hour at the dealership but worth the ride.
Literally ZERO miles on the clock.

Oh hell yes! my buddy has a 2012 Z1000 and I rode it just the other day and damn! I thought the Buell pulled hard. A Z1000 will very likely be my next bike. You can wheelie in basically any of the first 4 gears. He has a full Akro exhaust and a power commander. Lots of torque everywhere!

awesome choice!! I went the same route. picked up a 2015 ninja 1000. but I still have the buell couldn't get rid of it.
much more comfortable and the 6th gear is going to be great this year when I do my 7k mile trip. last two years doing that on the buell nearly killed my body.
