Does anyone know where this nipple gets connected? Took off the cover and it's not connected to anything.

It is on the right side of the throttle body, under the intake trumpet.

That is where a hose would attach for the California model's evaporative emissions control system. The hose would go from that nipple to a carbon canister. If you don't have the EVAP equipment, that nipple should be plugged with a rubber cap (available at any auto store) to prevent unfiltered dirty air from being drawn in.

FYI: it is not uncommon for that cap to be missing.

Emissions on CA bikes, it's blocked off with a cap or left open in your case on rest of them.

    It does nothing anyway

Awesome. Thanks guy! I always have caps since I have a subaru sti with mods so the billion hoses/nipples aren't needed lol I'll plug it before I put it all back together.
