front bearings fairly easy....rear not so much. do front first. i ALWAYS remove the rotor just to be on safe side. forget the brass punch....something along the lines of a long tool steel punch....even a massage piece of rebar with flat faced ends works fine. insert thru either side till you feel the tip engage the opposite end bearing and smack it. a few of these and you should be able to move inner spacer. once you can move the spacer a tad it's just a matter continued hammering and bearing movement. i won't kid you...the rear w/o some sort of bearing removal tool or puller is challenging. if none available then remove both rotor and pulley, lie wheel on piece of cardboard on floor , and try the above method. it probably won't work due to the inner width of the hub. get out the dremel tool set and CAREFULLY notch one bearing outer race....just 1. then use the punch/hammer method and drive it out.

The one thing stopping me from doing wheel bearings right now is the fact that I dont have a puller. I did it for years with a punch and hammer. Then used a puller and never want to go back. Rent one from oriellys or something. Huge time and sanity saver

    Buy this slide hammer http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o07_s00

Use the slide hammer and the Tusk Bearing Remover Collet 30mm to remove the rear wheel bearings http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o07_s00

Use the slide hammer and the Motion Pro Replacement Collet 25mm to remove the front wheel bearings http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o03_s00

Use 1-5/8 socket to install the rear wheel bearings

Use 1-3/8 socket to install the front wheel bearings

Read the Buell manual to follow the correct bearing installation sequence.

    They work fine for me

As TwinCycles suggests, I would NOT use a socket to install the bearings. I would use 2 bearing drivers and run a threaded rod with nuts on both or one end. Too many times have I seen a hub get jacked up because the bearing didnt go in straight, or the socket slips and ruins the bearing. Do it right and do it once. Get a cheap harbor freight set. Ill link them below. Its about $100. So the cost of a shop to do them one time. Then charge your buddies $30 a set and you'll pay for it in no time.

    Use this bearing puller:

And use this to slowly press the bearings in. These are handy tools to have anyways:

I just rent this set from autozone whenever i need it. I dont pull bearings that often, and I usually know ahead of time so I havent bought one of my own yet. Even if you do need it quickly they have pretty good hours. http://www.autozone.com/loan-a-tools...et/391362_0_0/

So when you rent the tools, you pay 160, then when you return it you get that money back?
