I have an 08 xb12s with the airbox delete k&n air filter, and drummer exhaust. The bike is running hot and feels like i have lost pwer and want to tune it with ecm spy. trouble is i need to reset the tps and cannot locate the idle adjust screw. everyone has said that it is located on the left front between the air scoop and the engine, but it is not. please help, and thanks in advance.

There should be an adjuster cable (screw) that goes to the location you mentioned. It isnt necessarily a screw rather a remote located cable that allows adjustments on the fly.

You may have to remove the scoop to be able to see it since it may have slide back behind the scoop.

If you look at the throttle there should be an extra cable that goes to a round style knob.

Hell maybe the 08 doesnt have that, in that case I wouldnt know.

    '08+ TPS Reset Procedure:

    - Turn on the key.

    - Set the kill switch to the run position.

    - Don’t start the engine. Rotate the throttle from fully closed (gently forced closed) to fully open (gently held open), and then back again to closed (gently forced closed).

    - Repeat 3 times. Hold each position (fully open, fully closed) for 1 full second.

    - Turn the key off and on.

Throttle Position Sensor reset. The TPS being off just a little will affect the idle and low end more so than the top end. Idle will be a bit rough and the bike will have a tendency to sputter and cough a bit down low. When it's off by more than just a little, it doesn't run right anywhere. Also, anytime you do a major mod, such as Airbox delete, new exhaust can, etc. it's recommended doing a TPS reset. Service manual suggests it at 10K mile intervals I believe.
