Unscrew it and kinda pull/ stretch it over the subframe.
Would LOVE some quick help...
I'm probably not searching well enough, but I can't find advice on this. I need to get to the rear turn signals (PO did some fairly wonky engineering and left metal pieces from the rear reflector mount cut off under the signals) - also, they are very loose and need tightening.
Anyway - I'm trying to follow the service manual, and I can't for the life of me see how to physically disconnect the rear seat lock cable as well as remove the ferrule. I've already removed the five fasteners, etc. What do I need to do to get the upper tail fairing off?
Unscrew it and kinda pull/ stretch it over the subframe.
Without undoing the rear seat cable?
That's the real question for me...do I really need to disconnect that cable and/or remove the whole key ferrule.
I'd like to get this done tonight - any help?
You'll be able to roll the tail over the left and let it hang. With the seat cable still installed
Awesome - off to do that right now....
That advice was awesome - job done.
For anyone searching this topic, there is no need to disconnect the cable or extract the ferrule. Simply pull/stretch the fairing aft and then roll it to the left.
