    New member, new Buell!

Hey! Just got a 2003 XB9R. I've wanted an XB forever and finally pulled the trigger. Better late than never I guess. It's got 15k on it but seems to run great. Never owned a Buell or any other sport bike for that matter, but I love it already! Anyway, any special areas of concern with this type of mileage? No noticeable weirdness or noises just wanna keep it going and try to double the mileage.

Welcome to the community. You can find the service manual here now that you're a member. It will list the suggested maintenance to do at certain mileages. Plentiful information all over the site. You came to the right place.

Change wheel bearings for piece of mind, allballs are cheap on amazon and seem to be doing good for most of us on here. Flush your brake fluid, and check that your ground wires are tight. Pick up a diagnostic cable and ecmspy and run diagnostics from the ecm to see what all is going on, the cable will come in handy to see trouble codes if they arise and you can see how the bike is running (lean/rich). A fluid change to AMSoil 20/50 V-twin for both primary and swing arm is also something I would do so you know the oil is fresh. Have fun and ride safe!

Oh and use blue lock-tite on everything!!!

So to add a pic inline I must first have it hosted somewhere, right?
