Keep in mind that these bulbs, while brighter will burn hotter and they have about half the lifespan of conventional bulbs.

I've been using these in my car and truck for several years. One thing I have noticed is that they are very sensitive to oils from your hands, more than a typical halogen bulb. Just take your time putting them in and you won't have a problem.

    Thanks for the advice.

I'll have to order an extra set online (better price) to have handy just in case.

Thankfully, I was very careful not to touch the bulb while swapping them out.

If you do by mistake, rubbing alcohol and a clean rag will take care of the oil from your fingers.

Rubbing alcohol is almost as important in a shop as brake parts cleaner!
