With all the destruction in this world, I decided to rebuild a bike. It started with buying a Mustang full of spare parts, which included a frame and swing arm, and enough parts to fill a tool box. The plan was to find a salvaged bike and make one good bike. Well, that didn't happen, but I did find another frame with a complete engine. When I got it home, I could only shift it from first to neutral and back (probably why he was selling it). Well, from this forum I have learned that the springs on the shifter can fall off when a bike it dropped. Pulled the frame off and checked what I could on the engine, replaced spark plugs and intake seals. Then puled the primary off to check the springs on the shifter. Sure enough, that was the problem, put it all back together yesterday, along with some other parts I have been ordering. Getting close to a full bike now, just sourced some low suspension, for trade with a standard suspension. Only big thing left to get is wheels, the rest is all the nickle and dime stuff that is going to kill the budget.
he never did, kept checking my paypal and nothing, same with Will...he never got back to me so posted it up on the forum, cooter and another member emailed me. but neither one pulled the trigger, so here we are. give me a call when you can.
That's a great deal on the tail! Awesome work bringing a bike back from the dead! Keep up the good work and the updates!
BTW I love the way the sub frame looks when it's exposed. That's why I did this.
