Is that some rust on the muffler I see in one of the pictures ? So the collector bought it and immediately had the tail chopped ? Collectors usually want vehicles left stock.
I'm definitely not saying it's not possible, especially since I just bought a 07 SS with 617 miles on it, but it's completely stock !
At this point in the game, I don't know why he'd mod such a low mileage bike.
But, it's his ride and he can do what he wants. One could always, powdercoat the muffler and unwind the mods, that only costs a bit of $$$. You can't buy back the low miles, though.
Who knows, maybe he did the mods back in 2009, when the bikes were still in production and it was "just another bike".
I wouldn't even bother buying a bike like that unless I owned a museum.
$#ITY flat black paint job, tail lift, belt guards gone, crappy frame grip pads, wrong mirrors, aftermarket levers.... thats no collectors item. Would take a good bit of $ to get it back to original
