Has anyone had experience with different types of tires for the Buell Ulysses? This bad machine just begs to eat up dirt and gravel roads.

Hi dustraiser. That is a SIC looking Uly. Love the tires. is it yours? Did you have to change the chin spoiler?
SIC Nobbies!
I have a set of Avon PRO Extream Rain on for a few weeks now. Upstate NY has lots of unserviced roads to
travel down and now the ride is more predictable for sure!I will get some pics and post them ASAP...
and remember, RE-CYCLE: Go ride your Bike....AGAIN!
FINALLY! Someone seems to have found what I'm looking for! Every time I think I've found a good 50/50 or 60/40 tire, it's not available in the Uly's sizes!
Okay, Dustraiser, out with it! What are you riding on? I see from your plate, you are in Dubai, which is a far distance from western Canada, but I'm sure i can get your rubber somehow.
Dustraiser, those are cool pics..
Looks like allot of fun till you get that heavy weight stuck. But on the back roads it would be a blast.
On www.tiresunlimited.com I found cheng shin hard terrain knobbies in 3.5x17 and 5.3x17 sizes. Now they are both rears, but figure you can mount a rear backwards on a front wheel and be ok. Going to try it if I can find some off roading here in germany and get some street wheels on ebay cheap for a set of street biased tires.
I talked to a another tire store yesterday and was told that the 5.3's will fit a 5.5 wheel and knobbies aren't directional so a rear can go on the front without problem. will know in a few monthes.
This is all great. But, I still would like something like a 60/40 dot-approved for both paved and not-paved roads. There's a great selection for bikes with different tire sizes than the Uly. VERY limited 'dual-sport- rubber for our 'sport-bike' dimensions. Help!?
