I think a bike of the month contest is a great idea. I have been on other sites where they have the same thing and I always enjoy looking at the bikes. Plus they link to their build threads which I might not normally read. They set it so that when you log in you are taken to the bike of the month page to vote if you have not voted on the bike of the month. This means no one misses the bike of the month vote or misses seeing the bikes. I think they have a 2 bike minimum, 6 bike maximum rule for each month to make sure its always a contest.

So on that I would vote for PurPony's bike for bike of the month September
