    Transmission oil

Not trying to start another "oil thread" just curious if anyone actually uses what the manual recommends? Genuine HD Formula+ transmission and primary chain lubricant.

I use Lucas syn 20/50. Seems to work well for me. I used the HD stuff once and it was ok, but the lucas really improved the shifting action.

Remember that whatever clutch frictions you have will matter, Stock, Kevlar, Carbon Fiber...

Any oil or trans fluid will lube the chain just fine. I always go with the friction MFG recommendation and have solved many 'weird' clutch issues. FWIW, it's most often because of synthetic fluid on clutch frictions that don't like it.

Ill be doing my first oil change using HD oil, I use it in my Harleys and never had any issues, never tried the synthetic in any of my bikes, not sure what is in the bike now so I want to change it out so I know whats in it. Ill post any positive or negative results.
