low beam does not light up at times

That white wire is your high beam wire. The two wires into one I'm sure are from the wire at the switch housing and wire from the dash meeting together to get the required signal/power that illuminates the highbeam and the high beam indicator at the dash. I'm not looking at a wire diagram but I'm sure if my explanation isn't 100% correct it's something along those lines.
I'm sure one of our more tech savvy smarty pants electical gurus will post you a pic from the service manual and a better expiation if I'm way off.

I made an attempt to look at the electrical diagram for my 2009 but couldn't tell if the white should be 2 into 1 at that specific point in my picture. My guess is "no" but looking for input here.
